Just wanted to remind everyone that Disney's 'Give a Day Get a day' is still going on. Volunteer for one day of service and get a day at Disneyland or Disney World free for up to 8 people. OSOA is the only organization right now that is 6 and older. But for the most part, 12 and older can get a ticket to the park free. 

what do we have to do? Help me out Latte :)

I have signed up, and no one gets back to u about anything :( I even signed up to OSOA. I'm just going to pay. I been trying for a month now. I email about ten dif ones and know one gets back :(

I like the concept, but I think the people requesting volunteers should be more realistic. The program is called give a day and get a day. Several volunteer opportunities I could be fabulous at, but I am not willing to be strong armed into doing a 2 to 6 week commitment. I think they should expect a one day commitment and provide the ticket then offer the chance to extend the volunteering. That is my two cents... and yes... they take awhile to get back to you.

I think she is talking about the groups that need to set a time and date up with you before you can officially sign up for the volunteer shift. They need to set up a "sorry we are full" type email at least. I have signed up for two and had to call just to find out that they did receive my information, but no longer needed volunteers.

is what you are saying is that they are asking you to volunteer for more then 1 day before you can get the ticket?? yes one asked for a 3 week commitment of 4hrs a week and another one was as needed for 6 weeks. No, OSOA is not one of them, both of mine were animal related. 

We have different programs that are on our list. Making baby baskets, sponsoring a mom or volunteering for one of our showers ect. Desiree I pm'd you my email address email me directly please. We are getting 600 emails a day of people for this program, and there is only 3 of us, so I am sorry that no one has gotten back to you yet. But if you can email me I can send you the information. If you have already fulfilled your commitment then that process can take up to two weeks.
