Does anyone have these services here on base? Is it necessary to have this to achieve better hair and skin after showers? Im new to base and heard base has "Hard water" so is it worth getting one of these services?

I moved in about a month ago and noticed that a lot of homes in my neighborhood had the water filter system (not to mention all the white stains on my glasses from the dishwasher). Needless to say, I signed up with Rayne water system today and they are coming by Feb 4 to install.

I noticed the white stains too!! why is base different than out in town?? I literally moved less than 15 miles (from town) and here I get white stains on my dishes and stains on the sink.

i have culligan.... so far so good... .way better than the base water thats for sure..lol. We got a good deal... we got 3 months free and pay 49.00 for water softener tanks(swapped out every 2 weeks) and unlimited drinking water

Use lemu shine along with ur soap in the dishwasher we haven't had stainssince we figured out this trick

KeyboardWarrior --- 14 years ago -

We're doing Culligan.

All my boys *husband and two sons* have eczema. The water here has aggravated the hell out of it.

We were offered 3 months free and $59.95/month for the water softener and filtration package.

We have rain, 50 bucks a month, with some free months. The guy who owns it is super nice, and just like Culligan they switch it out every 2 weeks. Makes a huge difference in everything. That is for a water softner and a filter on our sink. We still have water delivered for drinking but I use the filter on the sink for everything else. It is really worth it.

They sell it at the commissary. It comes in a small bottle. We use it once a week and it keeps the buildup out of our dishwasher. I will have to try adding a little to each load and see if that does work better.

Lemon shine helps with our dishwasher....but we use Culligan as well and love them, I have exzema and there is no way we could have done WITHOUT a water softener.

well thanks everyone for inputs. My son has Horrible Eczema and for some reason I am prone to breaking out on my back and since we moved here I been having a lot of "imperfections" on my back... I mean, its making me break out. so.... I didn't want another bill but, I may have to try out the water softener thing.

I love Rayne Water! I have had them for a couple years now. I had Culligan before and they screwed us over billing so many times that is why I switched. Like one month they would charge us automatically $150 when the bill should be $60. Then it would take 3 weeks to get the money back and the next month it would be $200 and so on. Out of all the months we had it they only got maybe 4-5 months of billing right. We had them for almost 2 years.
