So, she didnt want to nurse in the dressing room, she wanted to nurse out in the open.....?? While I think women should be able to feed their children, if there are certain designated areas, then go there. Whats the difference in sitting in the 'quiet corner' and sitting in a dressing room? Just seems absurd to me. People have nothing better to do than make a special trip to Target to feed their kids because she was asked to feed her child in a dressing room??
I am all for the freedom of breastfeeding but if you have the option to do it in private than you should do it in private. If not than I understand but why make a spectacle of yourself? Why do you want everyone to see you breastfeed if they dont have to?
Sweet Jesus ...this is not harassment ... what if someone would have hit her/her child with a shopping cart ... you KNOW she would have filed a law suit ... I agree shes just trying to rock the boat ... plus how unsanitary is it that shes sitting on the floor in a high volume store
This story is one-sided so I will base my opinion off the side speaking (we don't know what the target employees actually said). I feel like both parties were wrong. The employees in the way they approached the woman, and the woman for sitting on the floor (blocking an area which I am sure is very narrow). Not to mention the place was likely busy. I have seen nursing moms walk around the stores but I personally would of taken the changing room. It's clean, pretty quiet and has a chair and I wouldn't have to sit on the floor.
Really sitting on the floor of a target. If I saw that I would have said something and I don't work there. This has nothing to do with breast feeding in public (at least for me). It's just stupid, it's dirty, in the way, not confy, and as others have said they could have gotten hit by a shopper. When I am shopping I am not looking for people sitting on the floor feeding their kids.
Breastfeeding and bottle feeding are not the same. Someone isn't going to sit on the floor in the middle of the isle to feed the baby a bottle, you aren't going to get creepers staring at you weirdly while bottle feeding. Your comment is idiotic.

Creepers staring at people 'weirdly'?? What exactly does that mean? When I breastfeed, nobody stares because you can't even tell. YOUR comment is idiotic. You are obviously severely uneducated on the subject.
Oh and I definitely stare at bottle feeders 'weirdly'. lolz. Especially the ones who have their babies in an infant carrier with the bottle propped. I'd so much rather see a mother taking the time to HOLD and FEED her baby, even if she has to sit on the floor!
I breastfed all three of my kids, and I don't understand why anyone in their right mind would want to sit on the floor of a department store and nurse their baby.

I sat on the floor in a mall because we couldn't find a bench.....
I'm sorry but people can breastfeed but they also need to cover up and if they have the option to do it in private it should be done in private. When bottlefeeding you aren't exposing a boob for everyone around you to see. It may be natural and all but I don't think its appropriate. That's my opinion.
