So I purchased a new hot glue gun, since my old one broke, and I accidentally bought the mini glue sticks for a gun that takes bigger ones. I noticed shortly after what I had done, after the glue stick was inserted and the gun heated up. I can't get the stick out. I was wondering if I got the correct size sticks, would I be able to push the mini through with that one? Or should I buy a whole new hot glue gun altogether? I was dead tired lastnight and wasn't paying much attention, just trying to fix something my husband left for me to fix before he left. I would really hate to have to purchase another glue gun, but if I have too, what can I do? Just wondering if any crafty people out there have done the same and if it's possible to still use it or just get a new one. =(

I think a correct stick would work, but not 100%. (but a cheaper purchase than a new gun (and they'll work for the new gun if you have to buy one.)

Very true. I'll try it tonight if I have the time, and if all else fails, I suppose purchase a new gun lol. I'm still laughing at myself for that fail, but I haven't really used a hgg in quite some time. I'm usually a crochet and glue stick person. lol... But thanks! I'll deff try it!

yes. If you get the right size it will push the smaller one through.

Make sure you get the right temperature type of glue stick as well. I have 2 different glue guns, one for high temp and one for cool temp. Luckily they make a multi-temp glue that I can use in both guns. The last thing you need is to get a high-temp glue for a low-temp glue gun!

I have the multi temp. High and low. The sticks I originally purchased were the right sticks for the gun, just the wrong size lol..
