what kind do you wear? like just the cover up for zits and blemishes. also how do you even know what color/shade your supposed to get? 

I wear L'oreal True match it has become the only cover up I like. In the make up isles they sometimes have color match slips hanging there and you place those over the inside of your wrist until it blends and you can't see a color difference. Thats how I figured out my perfect match :)

I have to wear MAC studio fix. I tried to wear another brand this weekend and I hate it, so back to mac. lol I've tried all the regular store brands but they are either too light or too dark. Even when I match it to my wrist, it is best to hold those strips to your face, provided you are not wearing make up.

I LOVE Every Day Minerals foundation... it's cheaper then bare Minerals and I think it works better. I just order it from their website. You can get a free sample pack, just pay like $3 shipping. I have the ELF blemish stick for when I want a more "dewy" look. The only expensive makeup I LOVE is Smashbox primer.

PHOTO FINISH?! omg i love love love it! i used to use the primer from MAC but smashbox beats it! you should try the eye primer from Urban decay! if you like the flawless, full coverage matte look, use MAC but make sure you get all the right products to use, such as primer, foundation, finishing powder, concealer, finishing spray! if you wanna go a little more fancy, try MAKEUP FOREVER from Sephora, its a makeup company by Louis Vuitton, a lot of celebs use it, its pricy but its High Definition makeup! i personally dont like the finishing powder, i still use mac but goood luck!

Bare Minerals all the way. My husband JUST bought me the entire set. My acne is already clearing up and I have been using it for 4 days now. I love it and will not be changing make-up EVER again! 

I use CG true blends matte to make my face look more clear. I use the true ivory. I like it, because it blends into my skin whether or not I get darker or lighter. 

Lancome....they match the foundation for you at the counter. I worked for Lancome and will never go back to using the crappy foundations from walmart. Only luxury lines for me now. Once you try the good stuff you can't go back.

I kinda thought they were all the same. :( A matte finish is going to be with no shine. A dewy finish is the shiny, iridescent finish. Mineral makeup is foundation but it's a loose powder. Otherwise, foundation is usually normal liquid.

Sad I started to use cheap skin care and its starting to show. Foundation I use stila watts compact.
