I'm 30 and have found out ours in the last 2-3 years or so.

Trace --- 14 years ago -

Not really, everyone knows everything in my family and inlaw family.

Mommy2Angels --- 14 years ago -

I don't really want to vote, because while my family doesn't have any secrets, it's not because of our awesomeness(well, there is that too), but because most of my family has no filter, which means it all comes out.

We have no secrets because we all have big mouths. :)

Barbie --- 14 years ago -

My youngest brother thinks my step dad is his father because his real father is worthless and didn't want anything to do with him

This is why I didn't vote also :)

Jack Hass --- 14 years ago -

Most if our family secrets came out at funerals of other family members not involved. Odd.

Mrs Westray --- 14 years ago -

my family personally is very open
but i have a secret i have never shared with ANYONE not even my husband. And no i didnt cheat. nothing to do with my marriage it happened back in HS. I tell him everything but not that one.
Other than that my family doesnt really keep secrets you just find stuff out and half of them pretend like it never happened.

Turquoise --- 14 years ago -

We're all waaaay too confrontational for that lol. So i guess u can just call it family drama!

Jack Hass --- 14 years ago -

My uncle told my mom that she'd never be my dads husband in the "eyes of the lord" because she is his second wife. This is the same man who cheated on his wife several times and is a complete douche. Go figure. This is one of the *not so bad* ones.

BadMomma2 --- 14 years ago -

unless my siblings have had affairs that i dont know about we have no secrets. my family is italian so they were always screaming everyones business at everyone.

Jack Hass --- 14 years ago -

Holy crap Racheeel!

Vod Kaknockers --- 14 years ago -

My family has a few huge ones, like my Mother has 4 kids, 1 was adopted (no biggie), the other 3 have all different Fathers (none of which is the man she was married to).

This is never really talked about, mainly because he got custody of all of us, and she has refused to tell any of us who our biological fathers are. 2 have found out who he is.

There a lot more then just that but no one talks about them.

KissMyPotatoGurlll --- 14 years ago -

My brother [really my cousin] has yet to tell my sil that my parents are just his aunt and uncle. also him and his wife have yet to tell my nephew that my bro isnt his dad.

Sarah H --- 14 years ago -

We have no secrets. We are all open, honest and loud.

TaDa --- 14 years ago -

My family couldn't keep a secret if their lives depended on it. The invention of FB didn't help with that.

Mrs Westray --- 14 years ago -

omg 25 years wow

there is a lot of sexual abuse that has gone on both sides of my family. The sad part is that its between family members. We know about it but only once was someone confronted. And he went to jail and is still there. My step gmpa get very drunk and molested my cousin when she was 8. She now has herpes bc of it. Weird thing is so does her mom? So we never knew if they were sleeping together of wth was going on bc she didnt have it before and we know for sure all three of them had it. Poor thing was confused she kept saying so many different stories. He finally admitted it was him. After my gma sold her house to get him a lawyer. We dont talk to him anymore

SinCityGRL --- 14 years ago -

I wouldn't say its all glitter and sunshine...but I don't think we have any deep dark secrets...if we do..no one has ever told me!!! lmfao!

This is my husbands family. I hate FB now, lol.

That's how my mom's family secret came out. Great-Grandad's funeral. Basically, two of my older cousins were out drinking one night and got completely hammered. Well, the female had a warrant out for her arrest but since the male cousin was passed out after drinking so much, even though she was drunk, she decided to drive anyway. On the way home, she ran a red light and killed a mother and her three children. Before the police responded, because she was fearful of being sent to jail for the warrant, she jumped out of the car and put my male cousin in the drivers seat to make it look like him. Well, he was a very, very sweet guy, to a fault. He didn't remember driving, but because the police assumed it was him, he plead guilty. He explained it as, "I don't remember it but they said I did it and I'm going to take responsibility for it". He spent 25 years in prison until he was parolled a few years ago. At great-grandad's funeral, my female cousin finally admitted it was her driving. The situation is talked about occasionally but not often.

I don't mean this in a bad way, honestly... but reading that... I had an actual physical response. That rarely happens on here. All my hair just stood on end and I got a wave of nausea

Kariane --- 14 years ago -

Yes-but they aren't talked about.

Mrs Westray --- 14 years ago -

i was so confused. I was so close to him growing up. I spent every weekend at my granparents house. And never did i ever feel even uncomfortable. nothing ever happened to me so i was really lost as to why he did it bc i was in shock.
ppl are just sick i guess

BadMomma2 --- 14 years ago -

Cruising4Fun --- 14 years ago -

Four years ago my MIL came out to visit and told my husband his father was not his biological father. She got pregnant at 17 and broke up with her boyfriend before telling him she was pregnant. Her parents told her that if she was not married when the baby was born then they would take and raise the baby. She quickly started dating my FIL and he agreed to marry her and claim the child as his. His family never even knew this secret.

When I heard the news I was angry with my MIL. One: Why did she think it was something my husband wanted to be told when he was 32 years old. Two: She said my husband looked exactly like his biological father. I was furious because my oldest sin is a splitting image of my husband and all I could think about was that MY child looked like a complete stranger.

Last year we learned that this man passed away in 2000 and had two other children. We have found them on Facebook (never contacted them and never will), but my husband does look just like them.

Mrs Westray --- 14 years ago -

oh god i have to share this one i forgot

My dads side of the family is a bunch of nut heads ugh

so we got a call one night that my uncle had gotten beat and was in the hospital.
He owned his own landscaping company at the time. some men came to his house and beat him with a level (one of those bars with the bubble you know) part of his brain was literally on the side walk. his kids witnessed this. He has surgery it was a mess. Well he told his family they were workers he hadnt paid yet.
Come to find out he was addicted to drugs. He was a drug mule (meaning he took it up the butt bc he couldnt pay for it) He had spent all their money, savings, took out loans and was in deep shiit with a lot of ppl. His family had NO idea.
I felt so bad for my aunt

x2. I got choked up reading what he said. :-(

sofaa --- 14 years ago -

WOW at some of these stories.

My family is pretty boring. My aunt dated her cousin when I was younger. I loved him and didn't know they were related... years later I found out and thought it was weird. haha But that's all I can think of right now! I'm sure there's stuff I don't know but generally my family isn't very drama-infested.

Whitness Protection Team Betty --- 14 years ago -

My family is the dysfunctional Brady Bunch and with that comes lots of lies, deception, and tons of secrets.

MR HUGH JASS --- 14 years ago -

I dont know whether its appropriate to call my mom Mom or Grandma. What would you suggest.
